Actress Danica McKellar, the young woman who played Winnie in the “The Wonder Years,” will be in Mayfair’s Stein Your Florist on April 6 to shoot a scene for an upcoming movie in which she stars with ex-‘N Sync star Joey Fatone.

Stein owner Patrick Kelly didn’t have too many details about the straight-to-DVD film, but she said the plot basically consisted of McKellar, a flower shop employee, falling in love with groom-to-be Fatone, while providing flowers for his wedding.

Kelly pointed out the cashier’s counter where the filming would take place. Right now, the walls behind the counter are pretty bare, but Kelly said the film crew will be in Mayfair two weeks before filming to stage the area with heaps of flowers to really give it a florist’s shop look.

Stein Your Florist got the gig though a friend of a friend who knows the film’s producer, Kelly said.

Kelly said he would like to make the filming a media event and draw a big crowd, but the people involved with the movie are worried about McKellar’s safety. If need be, Kelly said he can have local police come out that day to control the crowds.

This is not the first time Stein has been part of a media production. Kelly said the store was featured in TLC’s “A Dating Story,” which has since gone off the air.
